In order to get started I think it is important that I express what I believe and why, at least then you know where I am coming from! I have written seven foundations that I think best describe my convictions and motivations in following and serving the Lord Jesus Christ and my expectation of faith in ministering to the people of God. Foundations are not always seen by others, foundations are crucial in the construction of a house, I think it is helpful to investigate and survey the strength of the footings of the house in order to ascertain its infrastructure. For the fabrication and superstructure of the “seen” part of the house is built upon a firm and solid foundation.

Matt 7:24 Jesus says: “Therefore, everyone who listens to these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on a rock.” And the rains come down yet the house stands firm!

In Hebrews 11 Abraham is described as living like a stranger in a foreign country, 11:10 says: “For he [Abraham] was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.” As we walk by faith in the Son of God so we live and work towards Glorifying the Lord and building His house.

What is the Christian life for and for how long are we expected to serve the Lord? Eph 4:13: “Until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” To mature manhood, to the fullness of Christ.
